Mission, Vision & Core Values

Aspie Answers is a neurodivergent-led, heart-led platform. Our mission, vision and values guide every guide, worksheet, article and hub we create — so that autistic, ADHD and diverse people feel seen, respected and supported.

Our Mission

A simple sentence at the centre of everything we do:

Our mission is to create accessible, neurodivergent-friendly learning tools that help people understand themselves, care for their mental health, and know they are not alone.

We do this by blending lived experience, mental-health education and practical supports into resources that are gentle, clear and realistic — not overwhelming, shaming or “one size fits all”.

Our Vision

The future we’re quietly working towards.

We imagine a world where neurodivergent people of all ages can access support that actually fits them — where classrooms, homes, workplaces and communities honour different brains instead of punishing them.

In that world, autistic, ADHD and other neurodivergent people:

  • are believed when they share their experiences;
  • have tools that match their energy, sensory and processing needs;
  • can explore mental health without stigma or fear;
  • are seen as whole humans with strengths, not just challenges.

Our Core Values

These values shape how Aspie Answers is built, how we show up online, and how we design every resource.

Lived Experience at the Centre

We honour autistic and ADHD voices, including Kerrin’s own story, as essential sources of knowledge — not an optional “add-on” to clinical information.

Accessibility & Clarity

We aim for clear language, visual supports, printable formats and flexible layouts so people can use resources in the ways that work for them.

Compassion & Gentleness

We speak to ourselves and others with kindness. Progress is measured in tiny steps, not perfection, and “bad days” are allowed.

Neurodiversity Affirming

We see different brains as a natural part of human diversity. Support is about reducing suffering and building strengths, not forcing people to mask who they are.

Safety & Ethics

We aim to share information that is responsible, respectful and trauma-aware, and we encourage people to seek professional support when needed.

Curiosity & Growth

We keep learning. As research, language and community conversations evolve, Aspie Answers is designed to evolve too.

Our Commitments

A few promises we keep in mind as we build hubs, guides and worksheets.

Neurodiversity Pledge

We will not promote “cures” for autism or ADHD. Instead, we focus on support, accommodation, self- understanding and acceptance.

Inclusion & Representation

We aim to include different genders, cultures, ages and lived experiences in our examples, artwork and stories wherever possible.

Accessibility & Safety

We work towards sensory-friendly layouts, content warnings where needed, and clear signposts to crisis services and helplines.

Honesty & Transparency

We are clear about what Aspie Answers can and cannot do: it does not replace professional diagnosis or treatment, but it can sit alongside those supports.

Who Aspie Answers Is For

Aspie Answers is built for anyone who wants gentle, practical and neurodivergent-friendly tools, including:

  • autistic and ADHD teens and adults;
  • parents, carers and family members wanting to understand loved ones better;
  • teachers, aides and support workers looking for classroom and support ideas;
  • mental-health professionals seeking accessible resources to share with clients;
  • people who are questioning, undiagnosed or exploring their identity.

Calm Corner – A Gentle Reminder

Reading about mission, values and big visions can feel inspiring — and also a little overwhelming, especially if you’re in a tough season. If you need to pause, that’s okay.

  • Take a breath, maybe unclench your jaw and roll your shoulders.
  • Bookmark this page and come back when you have more energy.
  • Remember: your worth doesn’t depend on productivity or “having it all together.”
