Mood & Energy Support

A gentle space for noticing mood patterns, energy changes, low days, busy-brain days, burnout signs, and the small supports that can make daily life feel a little more manageable.

This page is designed as a practical support bridge between emotional regulation, self-care, printable tools, and wider mental health support. It can later link to your mood trackers, daily check-in sheets, energy scales, journals, toolkits, and downloadable resources once they are uploaded and ready.

Noticing patterns without judging yourself

Mood and energy can shift for many reasons: stress, sleep, sensory overload, hormones, burnout, grief, change, masking, social pressure, illness, or simply needing rest. Tracking is not about being perfect. It is about understanding what your mind and body may be trying to tell you.

📝

Daily check-ins

Use a quick daily check-in to notice how you feel, what your energy is like, what helped, and what might need adjusting.

📊

Mood patterns

Patterns can show up across days or weeks. You may notice certain triggers, recovery needs, or times when extra support helps.

🔋

Energy changes

Energy is not the same every day. Low energy may mean you need fewer demands, more rest, sensory support, or smaller steps.

🌧️

Low days

Low days do not mean failure. They may be a sign to simplify, ask for help, use comfort tools, or focus only on what is essential.

🔥

Burnout signs

Feeling drained, overwhelmed, shut down, tearful, numb, irritable, or unable to keep up can be signs that recovery support is needed.

💜

Support needs

Tracking can help you explain what you need to a trusted person, teacher, support worker, therapist, friend, or family member.

💭 Mood support

Simple mood scale idea

A mood scale can help someone communicate how they feel without needing to explain everything in detail. This can be especially helpful for neurodivergent people, teens, people experiencing overwhelm, or anyone who finds words harder during stress.

Great: I feel steady, supported, or okay enough today.
Good: I am mostly coping, but I may still need gentle pacing.
Okay: I am managing, but things may feel harder than usual.
Struggling: I need fewer demands, support, rest, or a reset plan.
Need support: I may need help from someone safe or a support service.
🔋 Energy support

Simple energy scale idea

High I can manage more tasks, but still need pacing and breaks.
Medium I can do some things, especially if they are planned and clear.
Low I need smaller steps, fewer choices, and lower-pressure tasks.
Very low I may need rest, comfort tools, food, water, quiet, or help.
Empty I need recovery first. Only urgent or essential things matter right now.

You do not have to track everything perfectly

Mood and energy tools are meant to support you, not pressure you. If tracking starts to feel stressful, simplify it. One word, one colour, one number, or one small note is enough. If you feel unsafe, at risk, or unable to cope, please reach out to local emergency services, a crisis line, or someone you trust.
