Growing up, I knew I experienced the world differently.
Sounds, lights, emotions and social expectations did not always land the same way for me as they seemed to for others. Things that looked simple on the outside could feel confusing, overwhelming or exhausting behind the scenes.
For a long time, I carried quiet questions:
Why do I struggle in some areas but thrive in others?
Why does everything feel so intense sometimes?
Eventually, I discovered I am autistic — and later learned more about ADHD and other forms of neurodivergence.
